Important update

Picture in Picture that stays put on a second display, Elements as in Chrome, mail links in Veb's own Mail, and Find on Page in PDFs.

Added

  • Mail links

A mailto: link on a page opens a new mail over the page, from Veb's own Mail. Veb can also be the Mac's mail app, so mail links in other apps open there too.

  • Find in PDFs

⌘F finds words in a PDF tab, with the count and ⌘G, as in Safari.

  • Outlook and Superhuman

The agent reads Outlook on the web and Superhuman, and leaves a mail unread when it was.

  • Buttons on sites

Settings › AI › Buttons on Sites has a page of its own, a row for each site with its prompts to change. The buttons wear the agent's face.

  • Yes from anywhere

An agent's question can be answered from your iPhone or another Mac, also for agents running on this Mac.

  • Laying out tabs

An agent asked to sort your tabs into spaces, pins and folders does it in one step, the tabs asleep and none twice.

Improved

  • Elements

Elements works as in Chrome: the node under the pointer is drawn as Chrome draws it, with flex and grid lines, the picker keeps the page from reacting to the mouse, Chrome's keys move through the tree, and a deep tree scrolls sideways.

  • DevTools

DevTools keeps the Console's draft and lines, the Network rows and the node in Elements when you switch to another tab and back.

  • Undo

⌘Z takes back the last thing done in the window, not only the last tab closed.

  • Dragging tabs

A tab dropped on a folded space's name lands in that space, the rows make room when the pins grow a row, and a folder that springs open keeps the tab under the pointer.

  • Calls

Zoom's waiting room says who is knocking, and a guest's Leave leaves the meeting. In a Slack huddle, the call window's hand, reactions and chat work.

  • Snippets

New Snippet… opens as a card over Settings.

  • Settings

Close agent tabs moved to Tabs, Keep Veb reachable to General.

  • Pinned extensions

With the address bar on top, pinned extensions sit at its right, as in Arc's toolbar.

  • Recent tabs

⌃Tab can keep to the space you are in, as in Dia: Settings › Tabs › Recent tabs come from. Brought over from Dia, it starts that way.

  • Mail

Now no longer lists a thread you already read, and thanks or a promise settle it. A mail row in Now opens at its words.

  • Screenshots

Screenshots show up in Now and Recent wherever the Mac saves them, and file search finds files Spotlight hasn't indexed.

  • Chat

A new chat on a site offers that site's actions, as ⌘J does.

  • Links

Following a link takes less than half the window's work it did, and the page is ready sooner: 10 ms instead of 17.

  • Elements tree

A deep tree opens at once: a node 1,700 lines down shows in 29 ms instead of 207, and the highlight follows inner scrollers and closed shadow roots.

  • Chats

The column lays your chats out as cards, as on the iPhone, and a chat opens out of its card and folds back into it.

  • Field

"my lawyer's mail" finds the lawyer, typos are mended, and Search Mail is offered when nothing is here.

  • NordPass

NordPass's logins show in Veb's sign-in list, with no row where it has none.

  • Sign-in list

Where nothing is kept for a site, no list comes up by itself: Veb's key stays in the box and, pressed, says where it looked.

  • Sidebar

Scrolling a sidebar with many tabs redraws less.

  • Now in ⌘T

Now shows four rows under the field, then Show All with how many more, which opens all of Now.

  • Now's pictures

Now's rows wear pictures drawn as Settings draws its pages.

  • Agent tasks

A task's tab can be dragged into the kept, and a finished task of one tab is a plain row, not a folder.

Changed

  • Downloads

The Downloads button takes its place from the session's first download, as in Arc; before that it takes no room. Earlier downloads are in ⇧⌘J.

  • Counting

Veb's daily count carries a random ID your synced Macs and iPhone share, so the site counts people, not installations.

Fixed

  • Sidebar

The sidebar wears the space's color again instead of plain white, or gray in Dark.

  • Picture in Picture

Clicking another display while a video plays no longer takes it out of the page: it floats only once Veb's window is covered, and then only the video, not the whole YouTube page.

  • NordPass

NordPass stays unlocked: its worker no longer falls asleep while it is still working, as in Chrome.

  • Agent tabs

Tabs an agent opened close 15 minutes after it last used them, also while Claude Code or Codex stays attached.

  • Elements

Elements no longer hangs on a deep page such as X.

  • Find on Page

A word that isn't found leaves no highlights behind.

  • Chat field

Two fingers and a mouse wheel scroll a long message in the chat's field.

  • Dragging tabs

The line over New tab comes and goes while a tab is held, not after it drops, so the rows no longer jump.

  • Developer Mode

Leaving a page that failed in Developer Mode shows the next tab's page in place at once.

  • Crashes

Fixed a crash in an image's right-click menu, one when a log couldn't be written on a full disk, one when a sign-in window opened through the Mac's single sign-on, and one when Split View resized a window behind. `yab` run where no window can open, such as an agent's sandbox, says so instead of crashing.

  • Grain

On a 1x screen the window's grain stands still under the pointer instead of flickering over the sidebar and the spaces' icons.

  • Dates

Dates are in English everywhere, as the rest of Veb, also on a Mac set to another language.
