1Password on macOS 26, Slack's app links, sites that ask where you are, and AI helpers on ChatGPT too.

Added

  • Other mail accounts

Experimental: iCloud, Zoho, Yahoo, Fastmail and other IMAP mail next to Gmail, with an app password. Turn it on in Settings › Experimental › Other Mail Accounts. Set It Up has an agent make the app password when the provider's page is signed in.

Improved

  • AI helpers on ChatGPT

Replies written ahead, a split's line, splits made from words, Space and ⌘J in a reply, and form drafts work with ChatGPT as well as Claude.

  • Agents upload files

An agent uploads the file you named itself, on a hidden file field, a drop zone or a button like "+ Add App Icon", and the open panel stays shut.

  • ⌘` for tabs

The tab switcher can take ⌘` in Settings › Shortcuts, as in Arc and Dia.

  • Agent mail from the right account

With more than one mail account, an agent's new mail goes only from the one you name, never from whichever comes first.

  • Passwords in sign-in frames

Saved passwords are offered, filled and saved in a sign-in frame from another site too, such as Apple's on App Store Connect.

  • Kept-awake sites

Settings › Tabs shows a remove button on a kept-awake site when the pointer is over it.

  • Repeat with tabs

A routine made with Repeat that keeps its tabs up to date gets its folder of tabs, as one saved in Settings does.

Fixed

  • 1Password

1Password works on macOS 26.4 and 26.5: its worker kept restarting, so its button opened nothing and its row was full of warnings.

  • Extension warnings

An extension's row warns only of what Veb or macOS got wrong, not of errors in the extension's own code, as in Chrome.

  • Links to apps

Slack's "Redirecting..." page opens Slack again, and so do other pages that open an app from a frame of their own.

  • Location

A site asking where you are gets Veb's card, then macOS's own question, then your location.

  • Closed tabs

A tab brought back with ⌘⇧T or from Recently Closed keeps its Back, as in Chrome, and the mouse's side buttons go back and forward as the toolbar's do.

  • Importing extensions

Extensions brought in from Arc or Chrome no longer open their sign-in or welcome pages, as Claude's did.

  • Mail from Now

A Now row with a mail opens its thread in a card over the page you are on; ⌘O takes it to mail's space.

  • Leaving Mail

Leaving Mail's space no longer brings you straight back when Mail's pin was the tab in front, and a long thread in Now's card opens at once.

  • ChatGPT's icon

ChatGPT's tab shows its icon again, not a letter: a site behind a bot check now gets its icon.

  • Spaces row

After an update, the What's new button no longer turns the spaces' emoji into dots.

  • Sidebar

The sidebar no longer redraws itself whole when a space is made or deleted, or a split is made or parted.

  • Mail in the sidebar

With one space and Mail, Mail's row shows as soon as mail comes in.

  • Folder previews

A folder's preview row keeps its weight under the pointer.

  • Split View

Letting go of the divider, or putting two tabs together and apart, no longer leaves a half or the sidebar drawn as before.
