VebVeb blocks ads and trackers inside WebKit itself, before a request is made, so there is nothing to download, draw or slow the page down. It is on from the start.
It reads the lists uBlock Origin reads: EasyList, EasyPrivacy, uBlock’s own filters, badware and privacy lists, and Peter Lowe’s list. They refresh once a week, in the background, with no cookies.

On youtube.com Veb takes the ads out of the video before it plays. If one gets through anyway, it plays muted and fast, and is skipped.
Turn it off for a site#
If a site breaks or asks you to, turn the blocker off there. Either:
- With the site in front, open Settings › Privacy and turn off Block on …, or
- Click the lock in the address bar and turn off Block ads and trackers.
The page reloads with everything it asks for. To turn the blocker off everywhere, use the Ad blocker switch in Settings › Privacy.
Reload a page three times in twenty seconds and, if the blocker took something off it, the corner asks Page not working? with Allow Ads Here, which turns the blocker off for the site and loads the page again.
